DOLLY PARTON’S IMAGINATION LIBRARY IS AS AMAZING AS HER!

Everyone has heard of Dolly Parton. She is an icon, and beautiful on both the inside and out. But have you heard of her Imagination Library?

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a worldwide program that gives a book a month to over three million children between the ages of birth and their fifth birthday. There are absolutely no income requirements or risk factors to meet, so as long as the program is available in your neighborhood you are in!

Thankfully I had a mom friend tell me about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library soon after moving to North Carolina. And now I tell everyone I meet about it!

All you have to do is Google Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and you will be directed to register. Once you enter your mailing information, that is it! You are in! And your child will start receiving one book per month until they turn five.

First, how amazing is that? A book is sent to your door every month with almost zero effort. No going to the library. No paying any money. Just enter your mailing info and voila, a plethora of new books are at your child’s fingertips.

What a beautiful way to encourage reading for children, right?! The books are sent via mail, which is fun in itself. Griffin and Owen both loved getting mail every month, and always wanted to sit down right away to read the new book together.

And the books are fantastic! Some of my boy’s favorite books were provided by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Find Fergus is a total gem. We even hosted our own book club for Owen where he invited friends and did a Find Fergus craft together. Not to mention the amazing Milo’s Hat Trick

Most of the books tell some sort of story or lesson, and have a wide range of main characters so everyone can find someone that looks like them leading the story.

I can’t recommend Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library enough. According to Dolly, “the first step is always the hardest, but you’ll never know unless you try.” I can honestly say that this isn’t even a hard step to take, but the potential reward of your child growing their love for books and reading is unparalleled.
