The Kids Bowl Free program provides two free bowling games every day over the summer for school-aged kids, at over 1,300 different locations across the US and Canada.
It is a free way to keep your kids active, let them have fun, cool off inside from the summer heat and stay off devices for a stretch of time. A total win-win for both parents and kids!
We enjoyed a couple of free bowling days this summer, and honestly should have gone even more. Every summer I tell myself that we need to use this amazing program more, but then life gets busy and I totally forget.
The kids free bowling program came in especially helpful when we had a couple extra kids at our house the two days right before school started last week. Our family friends with two working parents needed to find some childcare for the two random weekdays prior to our Wednesday school start, and we are always happy to help out.
To keep the kids happy and active, even with the hundred degree heat outside, we took all five kids for some free bowling fun! You can’t beat a couple hours outside the house in a nice air conditioned building, where the kids have fun at no cost to you!
All you have to do to get your kids bowling for free is head to www.kidsbowlfree.com and find a bowling alley near you that participates. If you don’t see your local bowling alley listed, don’t fret, just give them a call because they might offer something similar. You fill out a card with their birthdate and school name, and then you are good to go! Easy peasy.
Our bowling alley, Victory Lanes in Mooresville, wasn’t listed on the website, but still provided one free game to all school-aged kids every day this summer. And it included shoe rental!
Even when the kids wanted to play an extra game, we only had to pay $2.50 per kid. I don’t know of many kids activities these days that can compare to that price!
No matter how little or big, bowling has been a fun experience for my kids throughout the years. It is amazing watching them go from assisted ramp help, to rolling the ball down the alley on their own. We are still in the bumper phase, but I’m sure that soon will pass.
I know bowling will remain a Hopkins family fun activity throughout the upcoming years, especially with the kids bowl free program coming in clutch! Hopefully I just remember to take advantage of it more in future summers to come! As should you!
