Griffin has only been in third grade at his new school for a couple days, and yet he’s already noticing what he has versus other kids.
He has never been one to care about his clothes or brands, but it seems that has finally changed. I don’t know if it’s the new school he is at, or if it’s because he’s finally getting older. I assumed this day would come, I just didn’t know it would come this early.
“Everyone has Baseball Lifestyle stuff,” is what he came home saying. Thankfully I knew what he was talking about because I had just purchased one shirt and one pair of shorts for his brother’s birthday over the summer. At the time Griffin could care less. But oh boy does he care now!
I don’t want to be the parent that always goes out and buys the new thing that my kids ask about, but I also want them to feel confident and comfortable with their peers. Especially during a huge transition time, like Griffin attending a brand new school.
So what did I do? I signed up for email and text alerts on the Baseball Lifestyle site. First, this provided me with a 20 percent off discount code, and it gave me first access to upcoming sales.
The sales alert is why this post is filed under FIRE DRILL. I got a random text and email alert yesterday that Baseball Lifestyle was having a moving sale and select items were 80 percent off. You read that correctly – 80 percent off!!
Naturally I dropped everything and went directly to the site to peruse. I found three t-shirts that are normally $32, and instead were priced at $6. That is the price I can get used stuff at during the consignment sales I attend. A total steal for a hot item that is brand new!
The even better sale was on youth shorts. Select shorts were $10, marked down from $50. And there were even half priced hoodies that had been slashed from their original $80 price tag to only $37.
Did I go crazy and buy a couple things for each of my kids? Yes! Am I mad about it? No.
Anytime I can find a crazy deal then I buy. Mainly because I know that my kids will absolutely wear the items over and over again, so the money will not go to waste. Additionally, I will kick myself if I don’t purchase on such a great deal because inevitably I will end up having to buy at full price another time.
If you are reading this on the day I post and have young boys or girls that love baseball or softball, then I suggest you buy ASAP!
If not, then I will provide some Amazon links for you below that will direct you to the hot new items that your kids will eventually ask about. Amazon will also ship it much faster than the brand site, in case you have a child that will ask every minute for an update on when their order will arrive. I got you, mama!
