The Hopkins Household has been using Hatch sound machines since our boys were babies. They were lifesavers back then, and they still keep us sleeping better almost ten years later!
Never heard of Hatch? It was featured on “Shark Tank” in 2016, and has quickly grown into one of the leaders in sleep by creating products that help people sleep better.
Their Hatch Baby product features sleep sounds, lights, sleep guides, time-for-bed and time-to-rise cues, premium stories, songs and tuck-ins to record your own bedtime message. The best part? It can be fully controlled via their app from anywhere, as it’s wi-fi enabled.
Genius, right?! Now I’m going to be honest with you. We purchased our Hatch products prior to all these bells and whistles.
Our version (the Hatch Rest First Gen) just has sleep sounds, lights and time-to-rise cues that can be controlled via app, and that was magic enough. And they are still working great after all this time!
These days the Hatch Baby even has a 1:1 chat with a certified sleep consultant. That would’ve been a total gamechanger for us, as I’ve mentioned before that we had some terrible sleepers!
I can’t imagine the peace of mind that would’ve come from having the opportunity to speak with an expert. It probably would’ve made me a much happier human being those first few years of motherhood.
We bring our Hatch sound machines with us on every vacation as they’ve become synonymous in our house with good sleep. But now Hatch even sells a Hatch Go product that can be clipped easily to a stroller or diaper bag for when you are out of the house. How amazing that would’ve been when my boys were babies!
Not only do they have Hatch Baby products, but they also have a product for Adults called the Hatch Restore that provides sleep sounds, a dimmable clock, sunrise alarm and bedside light. If my husband wasn’t so used to our Hatch then I would definitely look into something like this to help with his insomnia.
According to him, insomnia is real. I’m one of those lucky souls that can fall asleep anywhere and at any time with no work. He is unfortunately one of the poor souls that needs every sleep aid in the book to get a little bit of rest.
I didn’t know about sound machines until I met Adam. And since both of our boys inherited his sleeping genes, our whole family now understands their importance!
